George Dominic Pfeifauf, 76

George Dominic Pfeifauf, 76, of Capac, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, with his family by his side.

George was born December 23, 1948 in Allenton, MI to the late Peter and Ann Marie (nee Webber) Pfeifauf. He married Mary Billinger on July 21, 1972 at the St. Benedict Monastery in Oxford, MI.

He worked for over 50 years as a diesel mechanic for Mid-Thumb Trucking and retired after 27 years as a diesel mechanic from Armada Schools. He enjoyed fishing, taking care of his yard and working on projects. He loved anything with an engine and attended many car shows over the years, with his favorite being muscle cars and hot rods. Most of all, his family was number one. He loved spending time with family.

George is survived by his wife of 52 years Mary; children, Lisa Treece, Jill Brown and Beth Rozek; grandchildren, Logan (Kirsten) Treece, Matt (Amanda Winchester) Treece, Elena (Zac Lipka) Treece, Garrett Treece, Mary Brown and Bailey Brown; great-grandchildren Jaxon and Nova Treece; sister, Maryann (Bill) McLeod and sister-in-law, Pam Pfeifauf. He is also survived by his two dogs Sadie and Dippy as well as many friends.

George is predeceased by his parents Peter and Ann Marie; and his brother, John.

The family honored the memory of George Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Capac. Rite of Christian Burial was Monday, July 7, 2025 at St. John’s The Evangelist Parish, Allenton. Fr. Mike Gawlowski, pastor officiated.
