Eugene Charles Haskin, 85

Eugene Charles Haskin, 85, of Mussey Twp., Michigan passed away on June 25, 2025.

He was born on May 24, 1940, to the late Robert and Bernice (Shunk) Haskin.

Eugene married the love of his life, Diane Gura, on October 19, 1963, in East Detroit. They spent 60 beautiful years together until her passing on December 18, 2023.

Eugene was a devout member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Emmett, Michigan as well as an active member at the Allenton Senior Center, where he formed many lasting friendships. Above all Eugene enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons, Robert and Gary (Jeanine); six grandchildren, Kenny, Vincent (Breanna), Olivia (Joshua), Ian, Connor, and Cooper; great-granddaughter, Nora; three brothers, Walter, Donald, and William Haskin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and sister, Beverly.

A visitation for Eugene will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors in Richmond.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. with a visitation prior, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Fr. Tom Kuehnemund, pastor of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church will officiate at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett, Michigan.
