Larry Turrell, 76

Larry Turrell, age 76, of Imlay City, MI died Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at his home. Larry Charles Turrell was born March 4, 1948, in Almont, MI. He is the son of the late Charles and the late Estella (Schaaf) Turrell. Larry grew up and lived most of his life in Imlay City, MI. He is a graduate of Imlay City High School, Class of 1966. Larry proudly served in the United States Army from 1968-1971, during the Vietnam War. He married Linda Walker on June 3, 1989. in Capac, Michigan. Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Linda, on January 2, 2021.

He was employed as an Electrician by Vlasic Foods for 11 years before being employed as a Journeyman
Electrician by MNP Corporation in Utica, MI, a company servicing the auto industry. He retired after 18 years.

Larry is survived by his children, Larry Lee (Carlene) Turrell of Imlay City, Tammy (Doug) Turrell-Morningstar of Imlay City, Renae Bourdage of Warren, MI and Ron (Laurie) Scott of Emmett, MI; and his sister, Phyllis (Thomas) Brown of Imlay City, MI. He is also survived by grandchildren, Ken (Samantha) Scott of Fort Gratiot, MI, Kaylee Scott of Emmett, MI, Clay Scott of Emmett, MI, Collin Scott of Emmett, MI, Trey Trevithick of Roseville, MI, Taran Bourdage of Roseville, MI, Cody Lee (Alex) Turrell of Wisconsin, Channon (Remington Varran) Turrell of Lapeer, MI, Leevii Turrell of Imlay City, MI, Bradley Thompson of Richmond, MI, Jared Thompson of Brown City, MI, NaTasha Thompson of Brown City, MI and Brody Thompson; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Turrell; and parents, Chuck and Estella Turrell.

A Veteran’s Salute took place August 5, 2024 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI.

Arrangements were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
