Scott Vandenberg, 52

Scott Vandenberg, age 52, of Lapeer, MI, formerly of Imlay City, MI, died Saturday, June 22, 2024, at McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital. Scott Allen Vandenberg was born October 23, 1971, in Lapeer, MI. He is the son of Richard and Yvonne (Brandt) Vandenberg. He grew up in Imlay City, MI. Scott is a graduate of Imlay City High School, Class of 1989. He married Jenni Moeller on December 13, 2019, in Lapeer, MI.

Scott was employed as a Production Manager and Operations Supervisor for several Auto Parts Manufacturers, most recently Great Northern Plastics in Sterling Heights, MI; Rousch Automotive in Auburn Hills, MI; and WABCO in Auburn Hills, MI. Scott enjoyed cooking, grilling, fishing with his wife, Jenni, and especially Halloween.

Scott is survived by: his wife, Jenni (Moeller) Vandenberg; daughter, Alexandrea (Jeffrey) Burt of Linden, MI; grandchildren, Carter Michael Burt and Aubrey Kate Burt; his parents, Dick and Yvonne Vandenberg of Imlay City, MI; and parents-in-law, Mark and Sarah Moeller. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Scott was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Rene and Winne Vandenberg; grandmother, Wanda Shantz; and grandfather, Vernon “Bud” Brandt.

A Celebration of Scott’s life is being planned for later in the summer.
