IC VFW to hold flag retirement ceremony

IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post 135 will be retiring American flags as part of the observance of Flag Day on Saturday, June 14. The local post will be performing the old flag retirement ceremony at 2 p.m. at the hall downtown. Hot dogs and refreshments will be served and the public is cordially invited to come to the VFW hall and watch the ceremony. Flags needing to be retired can be dropped off at the collection box by the VFW hall at 598 N. Almont Ave. (behind Tri-City Times building).
