ICFD car wash May 18

IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City Fire Association will be hosting their second car wash fundraiser of the year, hoping to raise funds for non-budgeted equipment. Members of the department say they will be available at the station on E. Borland St. from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 18. Plans are also for a third car wash to be held in late June. With their first car wash a few weeks ago, the department said they serviced 35 people and are hoping for a stronger turnout on the 18th. While the department does have a line item with the city budget, some additional important firefighting equipment is needed. The Association is hoping to be able to fundraise enough money for new flashlights, a new battery operated circular saw and other items. They have had new portable lights donated by supporters. Make plans now to come out and support the Imlay City firefighters car wash from 11-3 May 18.
