SYNOPSIS
President Debra Hlubic called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. In attendance were Council Members Joseph Herrington, Lynne Mandeville, Samantha Ramirez, and Patricia Weyhrauch along with Village Manager Travis Youatt and Clerk LeAnn Brewer.
The following motions were approved: approval of the February 18, 2025, regular meeting agenda; approval of January 21, 2025, regular meeting minutes; approval of bills totaling $123,763.56; acceptance of Building Official James Waddy’s resignation letter; appointment of Mel McNutt as the Village of Capac’s Building Official; appointment of Miguel Rodriguez for the council term ending November 2026; to approve the proposed revisions to Village of Capac Employment Handbook regarding the Michigan Earned Sick Time Act, effective February 21, 2025, contingent upon the law officially being enacted by the Michigan Legislature; to authorize Village Manager Travis Youatt to reserve the date for the fireworks display and spend up to $10,000.00; to authorize the sale of equipment at a minimum bid auction; to appoint Council Member Joseph Herrington to the Planning Commission for the term ending February 2026.
