Carol Sawgle, 75

Carol Sawgle, age 75, of Lapeer, Michigan, died Monday, September 14, 2026, at Henry Ford Macomb of Clinton Township, Michigan.  

Carol Diane Mandich was born November 4, 1950, in Brown City, Michigan. She is the daughter of the late George and the late Shirley (Doehring) Mandich. Carol grew up in Lum, Michigan. She was a graduate of Imlay City High School, Class of 1968.

Carol was employed as a Quality Control Supervisor for Cooper-Standard in Leonard, Michigan. for almost 25 years before retiring. Early in her career, she was employed by General Dynamics in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Carol is survived by her daughter, April May Diaz of Flint, Michigan; son, Thomas (Laura) Loren Teal Jr. of Shelby Township, Michigan; her sister, Dorothy (Don) Mustonen of Rochester, Michigan; and brother, Rob (Kris Jarosz) Mandich of Imlay City, Michigan. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Samantha Teal, Faith (Judah) Davidson, Boaz (Victoria) Teal, Mercedez (Jon Chase) Diaz, Noah Brown, Alexis Diaz and Emily Diaz; great-grandchildren, Priscilla, Joanna, Levi, Elizabeth, Sofia, Blake and Keegan; and her ex son-in-law, Jeremy Diaz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Shirley Mandich.

A private memorial is being held at a later date.
