Dryden athletics in the running for $1M grant

DRYDEN — Dryden Community Schools is closing in on a transformative financial windfall, securing a spot as a finalist in T-Mobile’s national “Friday Night 5G Lights” competition.

If selected for the grand prize, Dryden High School stands to receive $1 million dedicated to upgrading Stremler Field, a professional consultation with a stadium experience expert, and a weight room overhaul courtesy of GronkFitness.com. The top prize package also features a celebratory community tailgate party and an all-expenses-paid trip for district representatives to the SEC Championship game.

Beyond the ultimate prize, the school remains eligible for various cash awards and grants distributed throughout the promotion.

“We are thrilled to share that Dryden High School continues to be a part of the Friday Night 5G Lights promotion,” district officials said in a statement. “This national initiative from T-Mobile celebrates the spirit of small-town high school football while bringing state-of-the-art technology upgrades to deserving schools across the country.”
