Letter to the Editor: Imlay City Summer Fest Committee celebrates sponsors, volunteers, local support

The Imlay City Summer Fest Committee would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the businesses, organizations, community partners and volunteers who helped make this year’s Summer Fest a success.

A community festival of this size takes more than planning and preparation. It takes businesses willing to invest in the community, organizations willing to lend their resources and people willing to give their time. The Summer Fest Committee is grateful to everyone who played a part in bringing the event to life.

The committee would especially like to recognize and thank this year’s generous sponsors: Vlasic, Vintech Industries, Creekside Cleaning Solutions, Imlay City DDA, Tri-County Bank, Health Quest, Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, Serene Gardens, The UPS Store, Liebler Agency Inc., Kohler Propane, AJ’s Recycling, Delongs, North Branch Rental, Shell Gas Station, and J&J Liquidations.

Their financial support helped make it possible to provide activities, entertainment and experiences for area families while keeping the festival accessible to the community.

The committee also extends its appreciation to the community partners and local businesses

who contributed to the success of the event, including Heavenly Sweets Coffee & Pastries, Botanas El Paiza, Imlay City DPW, Imlay City Police Department, City of Imlay City, Imlay City Historical Museum, and The Vintage Plate.

Their assistance, cooperation and commitment helped keep the festival running smoothly and

provided an important part of the experience for festival attendees. Above all, the Summer Fest Committee recognizes the many volunteers who gave their time, energy and talents before, during and after the festival. From preparation and setup to activities, cleanup and everything in between, volunteers are an essential part of making Summer Fest possible.

“Summer Fest is truly a community effort,” said the Imlay City Summer Fest Committee. “We are incredibly grateful to every sponsor, business, organization, city department and volunteer who stepped up to help. Their support demonstrates what can happen when our community comes together with a shared goal.” The committee is proud of what the community accomplished together and looks forward to continuing the tradition of Imlay City Summer Fest for years to come.
