No more antisemitism in America

Dear Editor,

My heart is broken over what happened at Temple Israel Synagogue pre-school. Such a horrific incident, I can’t imagine what the kids, their parents and school staff felt like during the dangerous early-afternoon hours of Thursday, March 12.

Thankfully, and by the Grace of Our Good Lord, no children or teachers were hurt in this anti-Jewish incident. Let’s all pray for the safe recovery of the eight first responders who were injured.

I also write concerning Detroit News editorial page editor Nolan Finley’s recent column ‘Blame Temple Israel attack on those who made antisemitism fashionable’.

I distinctly remember, a few years back, at the ‘Civility in Politics’ event at Oakland University, and talking privately with Zekleman Holocaust Center CEO Rabbi Eli Mayerfield about the antisemitic actions of rapper, Kanye West, aka too many ridiculous names to mention.

The good rabbi politiely advised me to always realize that Kanye West has a history of mental problems, and we more or less left the conversation at that.

Since then, whenever Kanye West has displayed stupid, ignorant, narcissistic behaviors, I always kept the good rabbi’s advise in mind. But now, Nolan Finley’s column triggers me to say it out loud. Kanye West is the poster boy for antisemitism in America.

Kanye West’s publicity stunt in recently purchasing a whole page in the Wall Street Journal with an apology to the Jewish community comes way too little, too late.

What the Wall Street Journal needs to do right now is promptly return the money paid by Kanye West for his malarkey, full-of-himself apology piece (he had a new album release the day after), and then the publication can dedicate a whole page informing readers of its’ regret in publishing the apology by America’s most notorious, antisemitic personality, Kanye West.

I feel, as many of my dearest African American friends feel, that Kanye West is a shame to his race. His dangerous and self-promoting of past antisemtic words and actions cannot be given a free pass.

Readers who may not be familiar with Kanye West need to know that this foolish, self-absorbed rapper even went to the extreme to sell Nazi insignia hats on his website.

Kanye West is a dangerous fraud to his black community and America as a whole; he has repeatedly put the lives and safety of the American Jewish community at risk of great harm.

Kanye West’s past actions in the attempt to make antisentimism fashionable always was, and still is, out of touch with the real America.

One has to thank his deceased mother, Donda, who passed in 2007, and for whom he still grieves. It has been said it is because of her loss of reasoning for going off-the-wall behaviors and descent. Nonsense, I’m quite certain she’d be totally ashamed of her son.

In closing, Kanye West can take his defecated antisemetic words and dump them in the center of Tehran, or maybe our more fashionable U.S. Air Force 24th Special Tactics Squadron (24th STS) can give him a lift into the capital of Iran, where he can forever stay.

America is done with Kanye West’s brutal, unfashionable attacks on the Jewish community, and our beloved country.
