SYNOPSIS
President Dyke called the Regular Meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Councilmembers present were Glasser, Miller, Powell, Schneider, Steffler and Dyke. Councilmember Feldman was absent. Staff members present were Village Manager Dale Kerbyson, Clerk/Treasurer Kimberly Keesler and Police Chief Daniel Willis.
Approved the agenda; approved the consent agenda with corrections; approved to adopt Ordinance 209, ORV Regulation; approved to appoint Mr. Steven Zott as Treasurer of the Homecoming Committee; approved to enter into closed session (9:03 p.m.) in accordance with Section 8(c) of the Michigan Open Meeting Act, being Public Act 267 of 1976, for strategy and negotiation sessions connected with the negotiation of a collective bargaining agreement; returned from closed session at 10:11 p.m.; approved the tentative agreement with IUOE Local #324; approved the tentative agreement with IUOE Local #324 for the Supervisors bargaining unit; approved to revise the Employee Handbook to add two paid holidays (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and Veteran’s Day) and remove specified longevity pay language.
The meeting adjourned at 10:15 p.m.
