Three dazzling performances with Lapeer students

IMLAY CITY — From Broadway classics to festive traditions, this season promises unforgettable performances for the whole family!

Imlay City Schools is thrilled to announce its 2025-26 Performing & Fine Arts Season, featuring an exciting lineup of theatrical and musical events that promise to inspire, entertain, and showcase the incredible talent within the community.

Season ticket sales are live now, offering the best value and guaranteed seating for our most anticipated performances. We are also proud to continue our collaboration with Lapeer Lightning Performing Arts during their auditorium renovations, bringing even more creative synergy to the stage.

All performances will take place at the stunning Imlay City Performing Arts Center, offering a professional-quality experience close to home.

“This year’s Performing Arts season is a celebration of community, creativity, and storytelling” said ICHS Performing Arts Director Rebekah Brewer.

“From the timeless optimism of Annie to the dazzling spectacle of our Holiday Showcase, and the bold energy of Chicago: Teen Edition, our stage will shine with the incredible talent and diligent hard work of our students. Each production offers something unique, but together they showcase the heart and spirit of our program.”

The first mainstage performance, Annie, will be held November 6 – 9. you are invited to kick off the season by stepping into the spotlight for our fall musical, Annie!

Rehearsals began Monday with nearly 150 students taking part in the audition process.

Annie is the heartwarming tale of a spirited orphan whose optimism and determination capture the heart of billionaire Oliver Warbucks.
Set in the 1930s, this beloved musical features unforgettable songs like “Tomorrow” and “It’s the Hard-Knock Life.” Filled with humor, hope, and plenty of charm, Annie reminds us all that the sun will come out tomorrow!

The IC Fine Arts Third Annual Holiday Spectacular, December 5th and 6th, is always a crowd favorite.

Guests can celebrate the magic of the season with an unforgettable evening featuring our district’s finest talent!

Enjoy performances by the band, choir, musical theatre, and dance programs, complete with dazzling costumes, Rockette’s-style kicklines, and high-energy holiday favorites.

Plus, don’t miss a special visit from Santa & Mrs. Claus and their North Pole Elves for an extra sprinkle of Christmas cheer!

After a long winter, you can make plans to catch the spring stage performance of “Chicago: Teen Edition” with shows running March 5th thru the 7th.
