BOARD MEETING SYNOPSIS
July 14, 2025
Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Supervisor Winn. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Members present: Klos, Parks, Winn and Wittstock. Christian was absent. June minutes approved. Treasurer’s report approved. Fire report: 15 runs last month; approved hiring of Christopher Kirkum and reported on up-coming events they will attend. Planning Commission: split proposal tabled due to the way information was presented, question about 2nd home being allowed on a parcel (not allowed) and workshop with planner. Senior report: exercise is every Monday at 11 a.m. and cards is every Tuesday at noon; next potluck is 7/22. Park report: Playground grand opening party went well. Ashley Grant will be new park director and tie-dye t-shirt day will be 8/7 (5-7 p.m.; bring your own cotton shirt to dye). Discussed: approved insurance carrier/quote, park report to County, changes to new storage area and list of building charges; Treasurer is seeking a new deputy (applications at township hall) and Armada Schools election workers approved. Audience: chloride application questions discussed, road issues mentioned and a property owner who wants an address on property without a residence building permit was denied. Motion to pay the bills approved. Motion to adjourn 8:20 p.m. A complete copy of the unapproved current minutes is available at the township hall during business hours and on the township website within a couple days of the meeting (once the new website is available).
