Attica Days this weekend

Fun, food and fireworks make for a full festival

Fireworks will light up the sky over the Attica Days Festival.

ATTICA — The Attica Days Festival committee has been planning a special event, bigger and better, for 2025.

The two-day (July 11 and 12) event will include craft makers and other vendors, children’s activities, live performers, a car and motorcycle show and much more.

New for this year are water slides and glow sticks of all kinds.

It takes a handful of dedicated volunteers to pull off events like Attica Days and it’s been a team effort of planning for the past several months for festival committee members.

There will be plenty of free entertainment for kids of all ages. Also, as part of a special pay-one-price fee, there will be an array of inflatables, a petting farm, waterball, rock wall, water slides and The Bubbleman Show.

Friday the festival gets underway with a craft and vendor show from 2 to 8 p.m.

The mouth-watering annual spaghetti dinner at the Attica Fire Hall, served up from 4 to 7 p.m., is always a popular stop and capping off the first evening, visitors can visit the beer tent with night time entertainment.

For those early morning risers, a breakfast at the festival grounds kicks things off on Saturday.

Visitors will be thrilled to see a wide variety of entries in the Classic Car & Motorcycle Show, as they walk past a number of “eye candy” entries in both divisions.

The little ones are not left out on the second day as they take part on the inflatables before checking out the Petting Farm.

There is also a Kids central tent to check out and a stop at the Seven Ponds Astronomy Club is always a must do.

A Crafters & Vendors Fair is always a popular attraction for the older folks.

If it’s snack time, everyone will be happy to make a stop at various food vendors.

A Corn Hole Tournament is being planned for those who are talented tossers, along with the novice players and for those who need to take a break from exploring the festival grounds, Main stage entertainment throughout the day is sure to bring smiles to faces.

A stop at the beer tent, featuring night time entertainment, will cap off the day for those wishing to partake. Fireworks will light up the skies over Attica beginning at dusk on Saturday evening.

A full schedule of events, plus applications for food and craft vendors, and volunteers can be found online at atticadays.org.

Paper copies of what’s happening for the two-day festival can also be obtained from the Attica Township office.
