Please take notice that a public hearing will be conducted by the Goodland Twp. Board at the Township Hall, located at 2374 N. Van Dyke Rd., Imlay City on the 24th day of June, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.
The purpose of the hearing will be to consider objections to the estimated costs and expenses for fire protection and on the distribution of the special assessment levy for the 2025-2026 fiscal year.
The special assessment district consists of the entire Township of Goodland, Lapeer County, Michigan. Appearance and protest at the hearing is required in order to appeal the amount of the special assessment to the Michigan Tax Tribunal.
Appearance and protest may be made by an owner, party in interest, or his/her agent (in writing or in person) at the hearing to protest special assessment filing. You may file a written appeal of the special assessment with the State Tax Tribunal within thirty (30) days after confirmation of the special assessment roll if the special assessment was protested at the hearing, held for the purpose of confirming the roll.
