Time for another Flansburgh Fundraiser

To the Editor,

We are excited to announce our upcoming 3rd Annual Lapeer Community Fundraiser for the Flansburgh Historical One-Room Schoolhouse in Goodland Township.

This event would not be possible without the continued support of our generous patrons. Your contributions play a vital role to help preserve and restore this Historic Schoolhouse that was built in 1869. In addition, the fundraiser plays an important role in supporting and promoting local businesses across our county.

Lapeer County residents can support this effort by purchasing a discount card at several locations in the Imlay City and Lapeer area. The cards are just $10, and offer a number of cost-saving discounts at Lapeer County businesses.

In 2024, the heating and air-conditioning system was installed. In January 2025, the drywall and ADA ramp were completed. The ceiling was restored to its original metal design in February 2025.
