BOARD MEETING SYNOPSIS
January 13, 2025
Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Supervisor Winn. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Members present: Parks, Klos, Winn, Christian & Wittstock. December minutes approved. Treasurer’s report approved. Fire report: 13 runs last month, County mutual aid agreement signed, working on new tanker bids, radios being encrypted and working on program to make purchases with other departments (for cost savings). Planning Commission: 4 splits on Belle River Road and 1 split on Gould Road approved. Zoning Board of Appeals: 1 pole barn variance approved on North Ave. Senior report: exercise is every Monday at 11 a.m. and cards is every Tuesday at noon; next potluck is 2/25. Park report: playground equipment is installed, an ice rink might go up soon and pickleball court will go in this summer. Discussed: tower lease at the lagoon might transfer to an easement, storage room addition planned, we will take bids soon for grass cutting/landscaping at the township, purchase of new pump at lagoon approved, new secretary will be sent for training, audit will be on 7/2 and Ashley Grant hired as Deputy Clerk. Audience: Supervisor Winn will take a list of roads for grading to the annual Road Commission meeting on 2/4. Motion to adjourn 8:30 p.m. A complete copy of the unapproved current minutes is available at the township hall during business hours and on the township website within a couple days of the meeting.
