IC students recognized for their efforts

Dear Editor,

This thank you is long overdue, but better late than never.

We at the American Legion Auxiliary Imlay City Post #135 extend a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Lamara and all the students in the middle school who participated in writing letters to the Veterans, acknowledging them on Veteran’s Day.

The Post received hundreds of art-filled letters thanking our Veterans. Plus, they collected money and donated to the Auxiliary.

Apparently students paid a fee to wear hats for the day. Your collection went towards our Veteran Needs Fund.

We appreciate Mr. Lamara’s teaching skills to inform his young students the role of a Veteran.

Thank you again Mr. Lamara. Your students deserve an A+.
