Girls basketball programs thanks you
Dear Editor,
The Imlay City and Richmond middle school girls basketball programs would like to thank the community for supporting their fundraising efforts at the 12th annual Hoopin’ for a Cure basketball game that was held on Monday, November 25th. The Imlay City 7th and 8th grade girls’ basketball teams hosted the breast cancer awareness game and everyone from the athletes to the spectators was decked out in pink.
At half time, cancer survivors and fighters were asked to stand and be recognized for their courageous battle. A total of $817.60 was donated throughout the week and during the game by students, teachers, administrators, and community members. The money will be split equally between The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the American Cancer Society. The Imlay City and Richmond girls’ basketball teams thank the community for their generous support!
