Respect for those who serve public
Dear Editor:
I see Paul Bowman is not running for reelection as Township Supervisor. I have known Paul for seven decades and though we are of different political parties, I know him to be a hard-working, honest public servant. He always does what he thinks is best for the people of the community. You can’t ask for more than that.
Public service is a necessary and honorable endeavor–or should be–and I have great admiration and respect for people like Paul who give their time and effort, often with much criticism, in the arena. That’s what keeps this old republic intact.
So thank you to Paul and all of the other people, regardless of political affiliation, who serve. You are appreciated. I hope others, especially young people, will follow your example.
