October 14, 2024
Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Supervisor Winn. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Members present: Parks, Winn, Christian & Wittstock – Klos was absent. September minutes approved. Treasurer’s report approved. Fire report: 14 runs in September, Open House went well and they will be working with local businesses to get Knox boxes installed. Planning Commission: one split approved. Senior report: regular activities attended: exercise is every Monday at 11 a.m. and cards is every Tuesday at noon, next potluck is 10/22. Park report: Halloween party went well. Discussed: Road Assistance monies will be used to overlay asphalt on Pytleski Drive, Road Commission bills approved to be paid when clarified, Yard Services did a good job at the park and saved the township money that others wanted to charge, damage to West Berlin Church will be taken care of (tree fell from cemetery), a new copy machine purchase is being looked into and election workers were approved. Audience: speeding on Capac Road was discussed. Motion to pay the bills approved and meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m. A complete copy of the unapproved current minutes is available at the township hall during business hours and on the township website within a few days of the meeting.
