Many thanks to Attica Days volunteers

Dear Editor,

Thank You for another successful Attica Days! We want to thank everyone who attended the festival. The weather was shaky Friday afternoon but cleared out just in time for the Attica Fire Departments Spaghetti dinner. Delicious as always!

Saturday was a hot one, but it was worth it. The car and motorcycle show was a success with 58 car and motorcycle entries. So many beautiful cars and motorcycles, it had to be a hard decision, but someone had to win. Congratulations to those who took home those trophies!

Many people who visited the car show also received breakfast from the Attica Methodist Church. The Attica Museum had many visitors Friday and Saturday. The museum raffled off a donated bike. Congratulations to Scott Dahlin who took it home! Thank You to Seven Ponds Astronomy Club for returning!

The craft and food vendors stayed busy, the inflatables were a hit with the kids, the petting zoo arrived late but was worth the wait, and the kids tent central by Ruth Hughes Library and ChoiceOne Bank had crafts and a cupcake eating contest.

The cornhole tournament inside the beer tent put on by the Eagles of Imlay City tent had 18 team entries. The 1st place winners were Jerry and Dave!

Hope everyone was able to go out and see the last-minute addition of the Life Flight Medical Helicopter when it landed near the baseball fields. What a sight to see it land and how awesome for them to let us inside.

We can’t forget to mention the amazing fireworks show put on by Michigan Family Fireworks. The perfect way to end our festival!

To those who volunteered individually or as part of The Young Marines, we couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you to the committee members who worked to make this event something the community can enjoy.

We want to express our deepest appreciation of those businesses who were sponsors: Liebler Agency Insurance, Ray C’s Extreme, ChoiceOne Bank, RYO Distribution, Pat Cronin State Farm Ins. Agent, BJ’s Septic, Lapeer County Sportsmen’s Club, Kapala Heather & Air Conditioning, Owen Tree Service, Owen Lawn Care, Rosy Brothers Inc, Chapman’s Starter & Alternator, Wilkinson Solutions, View Newspaper Group, The Pentier Group, The Foot & Ankle Specialists of Lapeer, Rowley’s Grocery, White Feather Farm, R.A. Thank You to our 2024 Sponsors!

Fun was had by all who attended! If you didn’t make it out this year, we are already planning next year’s event. It is a fun family friendly festival, and we encourage you to volunteer, become a craft or food vendor or attend to support your community!

We can’t wait to see everyone next year July 11th and July 12th, 2025, when we will do it all again.

Thank you and see you next year!!
