BOARD MEETING SYNOPSIS
August 12, 2024
Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Supervisor Winn. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Members present: Parks, Klos, Winn, Christian & Wittstock. July minutes approved. Treasurer’s report approved. Fire report: Award presented to Morgan Riebel for life-saving efforts performed on June 16, Auxiliary thanked for new LED sign in front of station and funds approved for new computer program/ipads for trucks as well as new pagers/batteries/chargers for new members. Planning Commission: no business, but gave information to residents to move forward with requests for splits. Zoning Board of Appeals (2 meetings): approval to a property owner to build home behind existing barn/pond and approval to a property owner to install a shed on a small home lot. Senior report: regular activities attended: exercise is every Monday at 11 a.m. and cards is every Tuesday at noon, next potluck is 8/27 and semi-annual pancake breakfast is 9/10 (10 a.m.-noon). Park report: new playground equipment has been ordered and playground will be closed after Labor Day to prepare the area for the new equipment. Discussed: monies for Road Assistance program with the County will be set aside, plan for spending the remainder of ARPA monies needs to be in place soon, “solid waste management” letter will be looked into, only 52 voters utilized the 9 days of early voting, burned house in Berville has been taken down and road ends are being paved. Audience: diesel shop issues were discussed. Motion to adjourn 8:20 p.m. A complete copy of the unapproved current minutes is available at the township hall during business hours and on the township website within a couple days of the meeting.
