Mayor Kempf called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag at 7 p.m. Commissioners present: Collison, DeLuca. Ramirez, Sadler, Tanis, Yockey. Also present: City Manager Craig Horton, Attorney Howard Shifman, DPW Superintendent Ed Priehs, DDA Director Christine Malzahn, Clerk/Treasurer Dawn Sawicki-Franz and Public. Commissioners approved: Agenda; Consent Agenda with minutes and bill payments $372,069.88; Public Hearing notices and publications to record; Public Hearing; Resolution 2023-10; DDA By-Law changes; Postponed Police Department Succession Plan; MERS-not allow purchase of additional years of service; Resolution 2023-11; Consumers Energy Ordinance 14-2; MML renewal $97,394; Special Event Permit-Swing Out; Special Event Permit Gateway Gas Giveaway; Board reappointments; Closed Session; Adjournment 8:43 p.m. Submitted by Dawn Sawicki-Franz, City Clerk.
