Imlay goes 3-0 in BWAC clashes

IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City varsity volleyball team went 3-0 in a Blue Water Area Conference quad match it hosted last Friday.
Imlay City opened their three-match stint with a 25-19, 25-12, 25-12 win against Armada. That was followed by a 25-12, 25-17, 25-20 victory over Almont and a 25-15, 25-18, 25-16 triumph against Yale.
Hope Schriber led Imlay City with 33 kills that day. She was backed by Emma Keeping (24 kills), Lexa Forti (19) and Chloe Bruman (14).
Natalie Stone (36) and Chloe Bruman (22) notched Imlay City’s highest dig outputs. Makayla Bruman (16 digs), Forti (13), and Keeping (nine) supported their performances.
Schriber (five) supplied Imlay City’s highest block total.
A group consisting of Chloe Bruman (eight), Schriber and Forti (three each) along with Makayla Bruman (two) furnished Imlay City’s ace serves.
Makayla Bruman and Keeping handled the bulk of Imlay City’s playmaking responsibilities. They managed 48 and 33 assists, respectively.
