Lemke to take talents to Mott

DRYDEN — Dryden standout Zack Lemke will take his talents to the Mott Community College baseball squad next spring.

In addition to Mott Community College, Lemke received recruiting interest from Muskegon Community College, Rochester University, Alpena Community College and Tompkins Cortland Community College in Dryden, New York as well as Allegany College of Maryland in Cumberland, Maryland.

Lemke, a lefthanded pitcher, is coming off an outstanding senior year which saw him amass a 10-3 mark with a 1.57 ERA.

In 58 innings of work, Lemke gave up 32 hits, struck out 123 and walked 19.

Lemke ranked second on the Dryden ballclub and third among Tri-City Times All-Area first team honorees with a .380 average.

He provided Dryden with 17 singles, eight doubles and two triples in 71 at bats.

Lemke also supplied Dryden with 29 runs, 23 stolen bases, 17 RBI and 11 walks.

He wrapped up his second year at the varsity level as an All-North Central Thumb League Stars Division and All-District first team choice.
