Moore, Sliman set pace at Turkey Trot

IMLAY CITY — Lapeer’s Jay Moore and Imlay City’s Elizabeth Sliman earned the distinction of male and female pacesetter, respectively, at the ICCS Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 20.

Moore logged the day’s swiftest performance. It took him 18:16.82 to accomplish the feat.

Mark VanDenBerg, of Imlay City, furnished the next best time among male participants. He needed 19:48.63 to go the distance.

Zavier Logan, Imlay City, 20:00.19; Dean Aune, Imlay City, 20:11.34; Jon Delboy, Marysville, 20:35.6; Caleb Brock, Saginaw, 20:41.54; Noah Powers, Ortonville, 21:02.2; Mason Wildie, Imlay City, 21:08.13; Gavin Dueweke, Brown City, 21:15.08; and Wynn Blake, Brown City, 21:38.99; rounded out the top-ten male finishers.

Sliman registered a 21:14.18 time on her way to a first.

Kyra Beemer, of Brown City, was the next female to cross the finish-line. Beemer posted a 22:22.89 clocking en route to a second.

Mariah Martus, Brown City, 22:26.41; Melynda Kinzer, Imlay City, 23:29.37; Rebekah Williams, 24:21.97; Christine Cerny, Metamora, 25:21.27; Michele Blake, Brown City, 25:28.85; Olivia Gartrell, Davison, 25:53.47; Kenlin Eskelin, Lake Orion, 26:08.27; Tana Brandt, Imlay City, 26:10.43; and Robin Shaffer, Millington, 26:45.16; generated top-ten placings as well.

A total of 100 runners completed the race.
