O’Malley’s team wins their bracket

IMLAY CITY — The Michigan Elite National 15U volleyball squad, which includes Imlay City’s Isabella O’Malley, won the AAU National Championship Ruby Bracket title recently.

The tournament was contested June 28-July 1 in Orlando, Florida.

Michigan Elite National 15U began their tournament stint with a 25-15, 25-11 win against Figs Volleyball Club; a 25-12, 25-14 victory over Cinci VB Academy; and a 25-21, 25-18 triumph against OVC on Saturday, June 28.

The next day saw the squad go 2-1 It was there they fell 17-25, 21-25  to Performance Juniors;  posted a 25-18, 25-15 win against Ozark Juniors 15 National; and obtained a 25-21, 25-14 victory over Five Star 15 Black.

Michigan Elite National 15U National followed that up Monday, June 30 with 25-21, 11-25, 15-11 win against Miami Hype 15U Prime 2; a 20-25, 25-23, 11-15  setback to Atom 15 Red; and a 24-26, 25-13, 15-8 triumph against AJV 15 Helix. 

They then closed out tournament play Wednesday, July 1 with a 17-25, 25-20, 15-3 win over Texas One 15; a 25-13, 25-21 victory against Ignite AzZ 15 National; and a 25-19, 25-23 triumph against Ozark Juniors 15 National.

Isabella Adamski, Hadley Conrad, Madelyn Cook, Haley Fellin, Jane Geck, Theadora Goodwin, Londyn Howard, Shaylee Mertz and Emery Richards    joined O’Malley on    the roster of Michigan Elite 15U National’s squad.

With their recent showing, Michigan Elite National 15U’s volleyball squad wraps up an outstanding 57-17 campaign.
