DRYDEN — A team consisting of James Urban, Corey Oleyer, Brenden Henge and Henry Birchmeier posted a 61 total over 18 holes, paving the way to a first-place finish at the 11th Annual Kirk Marchwinski Memorial Scholarship Scramble.

Heather Hills Golf Course is where the action unfolded last Saturday.

A total of 132 golfers competed, with many of the groups coming from Dryden and who went to school with Kirk.

The winners of Kirk’s scholarship this year from Dryden High School are Caila Fitchett and Cara Prusakiewicz.

“Every year the love and support from our families fill our hearts,” Kirk’s mom Renee commented. “Even after 11 years our numbers keep growing,” she noted.

“It means so much to us to have Kirk’s memory still with all of us. We are truly blessed. Thank you again.”
