Almont Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 10, 2026, at the Township Hall located at 819 N. Main Street. The public hearing is to consider a text amendment to modify the regulation for onsite solar energy facilities, modify requirements for commercial solar energy facilities, add performance guarantee requirements, and add and modify definitions related to solar energy facilities. This text amendment includes modifications to Sections 2.30 Solar energy regulation, 2.31 Commercial solar energy collector system, Section 8.6 Table of Uses, Section 8.7 Table of Use Requirements, Section 13.10 Performance Guarantee Bonding, and Section 14.1 Definitions.
This meeting is open to the public. Anyone wishing to comment on this item but is unable to attend the meeting may send their comments in writing to – Imlay Township, Planning Commission, 682 North Fairgrounds Road. Written public comments need to be submitted by Wednesday June 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. A copy of the text amendment is available at the Almont Township Hall 819 N.
