Imlay City defeats Swartz Creek

IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City varsity girls’ basketball squad now owns a 2-1 overall mark following a 71-66 road triumph against Swartz Creek last Saturday.

In Saturday’s clash, Imlay City spotted Swartz Creek a 33-31 halftime edge.

Imlay City then outscored Swartz Creek 40-33 the rest of the way, pulling out a 71-66 victory.

Alexis Bruyere (24) and Makayla Bruman (23) furnished the top Imlay City point totals. The Spartans also had Montanna Eads (12 points), Makenzie Bruyere and Addison Brown (three points each) along with Allison Shafer, Savannah Douglas and Mia-Ann Grapentin (two apiece) reach the scoring column.
