Capac names Conklin as their new AD and Dean of Students

CAPAC — Capac Junior/Senior High School announced Devon Conklin as their new Athletic Director/Dean of Students this past week.

“I am thrilled to join Capac Community Schools as Athletic Director and Dean of Students,” Conklin commented. “I am passionate about education, leadership, and athletics and committed to fostering a positive student-centered environment where every student has opportunity to succeed both in the classroom and extracurricular activities,” he noted.

Conklin has spent the past several years teaching high school social studies, coaching both travel and high school baseball, and serving in various leadership roles that have strengthened his belief in the power of relationships, teamwork and consistent support for students. These experiences have shaped his approach to educational leadership, and commitment to helping students reach their full potential.

He holds a bachelors degree in history with Secondary Education from Oakland University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership K-12 Administration from Eastern Michigan University. Conklin believes strong communication, collaboration and clear expectations are the foundation of effective school leadership.

Outside of school, Conklin enjoys spending time on the water, visiting the beach, staying active and being with his family and girlfriend.

“I am truly honored to be a part of the Capac community and look forward to working alongside our students, staff, families and community members to support student success in every way,” Conklin added.
