Times announces it’s All-Area track squad

TRI-CITY AREA — From start to finish, these competitors excelled for their respective teams.

Here is a look at who was named to the 2025 edition of The Tri-City Times All-Area girls’ track squad and the accomplishments they amassed en route:

Name: Lauren Webster
School: Almont
Year: Senior
Event: High jump

Best effort: Webster cleared 4 feet 8 inches twice this spring.

The first time it happened was en route to a fourth among Division 3/4 entrants at the SVSU Indoor Invitational on Thursday, March 20.

She also cleared the same height for fourth Friday, April 25 at the Lapeer County Press/North Branch Invitational.

Top finishes: Webster collected fourths among Division 3/4 entrants at the SVSU Indoor Invitational as well as the Lapeer County Press/North Branch Invitational.

Name: Madison Niedermaier
School: Almont
Year: Senior
Event: Pole vault

Best effort: Niedermaier cleared 9 feet 4 inches en route to a first at the Algonac-based Blue Water Area Conference League Meet on Tuesday, May 20.

Top finishes: She obtained firsts at the Division 3 regional in Algonac and the Algonac-based Blue Water Area Conference League Meet; provided thirds at the Lapeer County Press/North Branch Invitational, Jon Nugent Invitational in Bath and the Marysville-based Blue Water Meet of Champions; placed fourth at the Marlette Invitational; furnished a fifth at the Shake Off the Rust Invitational in Davison; ranked eighth at the Davison Twilight Classic; was 10th among Division 3/4 entrants at the SVSU Indoor Invitational; plus added a 25th at the Kent City-based Division 3 state finals.

Best effort: Niedermaier leaped 15 feet 6 1/2 inches for second during a Blue Water Area Conference meet Tuesday, April 29, versus Algonac and host North Branch.

Top finishes: She took second at the Marysville-based Blue Water Meet of Champions and Lapeer County Press/North Branch Invitational; garnered a third at the Algonac-based Blue Water Area Conference League Meet; supplied a fourth at a Division 3 regional in Algonac; claimed a sixth at the Bath-based Jon Nugent Invitational; provided ninth among Division 3/4 entrants at the SVSU Indoor Invitational; obtained a 12th at the Marlette Invitational; plus added a 13th at the Shake Off the Rust Invitational in Davison.

Best effort: Robertson uncorked a shot put toss measuring 30 feet 9 inches for ninth at the Marysville-based Blue Water Meet of Champions on Thursday, May 22.

Top finishes: She collected a first at the Third Annual Cardinal Classic in Dryden; generated sevenths at the Bad Axe-based Hatchet Invitational and Blue Water Area Conference League Meet in Algonac; supplied an eighth at the Lapeer Lightning Invitational; obtained ninths at the 62nd Elmer Ball Oxford Invitational and Marysville-based Blue Water Meet of Champions; wound up 12th at a Division 2 regional in North Branch; plus furnished a 15th among Division 1/2 entrants at the SVSU Indoor Invitational.

Top finishes: She supplied firsts at the Brown City Invitational, Harbor Beach Invitational, Green Devil Invite in Brown City and the Brown City-based Big Thumb Conference League Meet; obtained a second at the Marlette Invitational; supplied a third at the Reese Invitational; took fourth at a Division 4 regional in Marlette; plus added a seventh at the Caro-based Thumb Meet of Champions.

Best effort: Robinson registered a clocking of 13.5 seconds for second during a dual meet versus visiting Blue Water Area Conference rival Cros-Lex on Tuesday, April 29.

Top finishes: She ranked third at the Cardinal Classic in Dryden; provided a fifth at the Lapeer Lightning Invitational; took sixth at the Bad Axe-based Hatchet Invitational; notched an 11th at a Division 2 regional in North Branch; and pulled up 24th at the 62nd Elmer Ball Oxford Invitational.

Best effort: Stadelbauer notched a time of 18.93 seconds en route to a seventh at the Bad Axe-based Hatchet Invitational on Friday, May 9.

Top finishes: She placed sixth at the Algonac-based Blue Water Area Conference League Meet; registered sevenths at Bad Axe-based Hatchet Invitational; managed a 14th at a Division 2 regional in North Branch; furnished a 15th at the Blue Water Meet of Champions in Marysville; and obtained a 20th at the 62nd Elmer Ball Oxford Invitational.

Best effort: Battaglia supplied a clocking of 27.44 seconds for sixth during a preliminary heat at an Algonac-based Division 3 regional meet on Thursday, May 15.

Top finishes: She took fifth among Division 3/4 entrants at the SVSU Indoor Invitational; obtained a sixth at an Algonac-based Division 3 regional; and obtained a seventh at the Blue Water Meet of Champions in Marysville.

Name: Caila Fitchett
School: Dryden
Year: Junior
Event: 300-meter hurdles

Best effort: Fitchett logged a time of 49.67 seconds en route to a second Friday, May 9, at the Akron-Fairgrove Invitational.

Top finishes: She provided firsts at the Third Annual Cardinal Classic in Dryden; Marlette-based Get On Track Meet and Marlette Invitational; claimed seconds at the Akron-Fairgrove Invitational, Big Thumb Conference Blue and Red Division League Meet in Deckerville as well as a Dryden-based Division 4 regional; pulled up fourth at the Hurd Invite in Vassar; took eighth at the Shake Off the Rust Invitational in Davison; and notched an 18th at the Division 4 state finals in Hudsonville.
