Battani earns BWAC MVP honor
ALMONT — Almont senior boys’ track standout Chase Battani was named the recipient the BWAC‘s MVP award this past week.
The honor, chosen by league coaches, is based on his performance for the duals and championship meet.
Battani won the pole vault (14 feet) and 110-meter hurdles (15.99 seconds) at the recent Blue Water Area Conference League Meet hosted by Algonac on Tuesday, May 20.
He also finished third in the 300 hurdles (42.52 seconds) plus joined forces with Eric Haddon, Matthew Bacholzky and Nolan Maxlow that place third in the 800 relay with a 1:34.25 clocking.
His performances helped lead Almont to a third that day.
