Capac wins game, ties another

CAPAC — The Capac varsity baseball team went 1-0-1 in a doubleheader it hosted Monday versus Deckerville.

With the decisions, Capac moves to 1-2-1 this season.

In the opener, Capac rolled to a convincing 19-5 victory over Deckerville.

Wiley Roose (a single and a double) and Alan Uribe-Arce (a pair of singles) paced Capac’s offensive attack. They were backed by Aaron Coltson (a double) along with Brody Tesnow, Austin Howard, Axel Demaray and Gabe Peters (a single each).

Brandon Szuch, James Owens and Uribe-Arce shared the pitching responsibilities for Capac. They allowed three total hits, struck out six and walked nine.

The second game would end in a 6-6 outcome due to darkness.

Tesnow and Howard led Capac with a pair of singles apiece. Szuch and Coltson added a single each for the Chiefs.

Jacob Clowers and Demaray pitched for Capac. They gave up seven total hits, struck out seven and walked six.
