Times names All-Area hoop team

TRI-CITY AREA — From game one until the season finale, these athletes let their respective performances out on the floor speak for itself.

Here is a look at who landed a spot n the 2024-25 edition of the Tri-City Times All-Area girls’ basketball team and the numbers they generated en route:

Keira Miller, Dryden.

Miller amassed 391 points in 23 games, an average of 17.0 points per contest, this winter.

That ranked her first on the Dryden squad and second among Tri-City Times All-Area first team honors.

This was her fourth season on Dryden’s varsity.

The 5-6 senior guard wrapped up the season as an All-Big Thumb Conference Blue Division first team selection.

Alexis Bruyere, Imlay City.

Bruyere supplied 389 points over 23 contests, an average of 16.9 points per game during the 2024-25 campaign.

That placed her first on the Imlay City squad and second among Tri-City Times All-Area first team honorees.

The 5-8 sophomore guard also provided Imlay City with 87 steals, 51 rebounds, 30 assists nnd blocked four shots.

Bruyere completed er second varsity campaign as an All-Blue Water Area Conference first team choice.

Madi Derk, Almont.

Derk generated 339 points in 23 games, an average of 14.7 points per contest, this winter.

That ranked her first on the Almont squad and third among Tri-City Times All-Area first team honorees.

The 5-4 freshman guard also contributed 97 rebounds, 91 steals and 31 assists to Almont’s cause.

She finished her debut season as an All-Blue Water Area Conference second team pick.

Addison Cameron, Imlay City.

Cameron managed 212 points over 23 contests, an average of 9.2 points per game, during the 2024-25 campaign.

That placed her second on the Imlay City squad and fourth among
Tri-City Times All-Area first team honorees.

The 5-9 senior center also collected 188 rebounds, 33 steals, 23 assists and 22 blocked shots.

This was her second season on Imlay City’s varsity.

Cameron concluded the campaign as an All-Blue Water Area Conference honorable mention selection.

Her name also appeared on the All-Blue Water Area Conference Defensive Team.

Rachael Johnson, Almont.

Johnson accumulated 195 points over 22 contests, average of 8.9 points per game, during the 2024-25 campaign

That placed her second on the Almont squad and fifth among Tri-City Times All-Area first team picks.

The 5-6 junior guard also collected 58 steals, 54 rebounds and 41 assists.

This was her second season on Almont’s varsity.

Johnson concluded the season as an All-Blue Water Area Conference honorable mention pick.

Alexa Lengemann, Imlay City.

Lengemann supplied 178 points in 23 games, an average of 7.7 points per contest, this winter.

That ranked her third on te Imlay City squad and sixth among Tr-City Times All-Area first team honorees.

The 5-7 senior guard also provided Imlay City with 134 rebounds, 63 assists, 50 steals and blocked five shots.

This was her second season on Imlay City’s varsity.

Isabella Weier, Dryden.

Weier wound up with 169 points in 23games, an average of 7.3 points per contest, this winter.

That ranked her second on the Dryden squad and seventh among Tri-City Times All-Area first team honorees

This was her third season on Dryden’s varsity.

The 5-8 senior center ended the season as an All-Big Thumb Conference Blue Division second team choice

Second team- Jalynn Delmotte, Dryden; Kierstyn Stankevich, Dryden; Vivian Asaro, Almont; Natalia Radisvljevic, Almont; and Noelle Bourdea, Almont

Coach of the Year- For directing Dryden to a 12-11 overal mark and a 6-4 Big Thumb Conference Blue Division mark (good for third place), Dryden Coach Marcus Leija earns Tri-City Times All-Area Coach of the Year accolades.
