IC Chamber Auction fundraiser a success

ATTICA TWP. — A great time was had by all at the Imlay City Chamber of Commerce fundraising auction Saturday night. The event was held at Castle Creek Golf Club in Attica Twp.

A number of items caught the attention of about 150 people in attendance. A dozen farm fresh eggs might have been the most unique item up for auction, along with other tasty baked goods from area businesses.

The evening’s event was held to help raise money for the Chamber who in turn, invests it back in to the Imlay City community through various activities including SummerFest.

Bird feeders, bird houses, a propane griddle, numerous gift certificates to area merchants and bicycles were among the auction items.

Autographed memorabillia including a boxing glove, a Detroit Lions football, a Detroit Lions helmet, a kicking tee and an autographed picture of the Detroit Red Wings “Grind Line” were among the items that found new homes by the end of the evening.
