Imlay City defeats its rival Cros-Lex

IMLAY CITY — Imlay City returned from Cros-Lex with a 51-33 win in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity boys’ basketball clash last Thursday.

With the result, Imlay City raises their mark to 4-2 and 3-0. Cros-Lex drops to 6-2 and 2-1.

In Thursday’s clash, Imlay City spotted Cros-Lex a 10-8 edge after one quarter was done.

The next two quarters saw Imlay City amass 31 total points and Cros-Lex generate 13, staking themselves to a 39-23 advantage with 24 minutes elapsed.

Imlay City then outscored Cros-Lex 12-10 the rest of the way, preserving a 51-33 win.

Zander Nash (17) and Landon Jones (11) led Imlay City with double digit point totals. They were backed by Matt Evans (six points), Andrew Cezik (five), Brady Detwiler (four), Isaac Sommer and Jalen Gauthier (three each) along with Sam Edson (two)
