Almont claims first at Cass City

ALMONT — The Almont 10U baseball team claimed a first-place finish at the Cass  City Tournament recently.

Almont started things off with a 3-3 outcome versus Sandusky on Friday, July 26. Saturday, July 27 saw Almont notch a 5-0 win against Caro Tigers and pick up a 13-4 victory over Reese.

They then followed it up Sunday, July 28 with 6-3 triumph against Elba and a 14-0 win over Imlay City, closing out an unbeaten tournament run.

Christian Luciano, Conner Bradley, Blake McSpadin, Julian Luciano, Josh Bernardi, Lucas Lindamood, Oliver Bishop, Lucas Schwarzwalder, Easton Cobb and Braxton Felek comprised Almont’s championship team. They were directed to the title by coaches Nick Cobb, Scott Garner, Dino Bernardi and Miguel Luciano.
