June 8, 2026
Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Supervisor Winn. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Members present: Klos, Winn, Christian and Wittstock. Parks was absent. May minutes approved. Treasurer’s report approved. Fire report: 22 runs last month (including mutual aid in Imlay City) and representative from Tri-EMS was present to mention all they do in the County and all the free training they provide to the different departments and asking for support on the August millage renewal. Planning Commission: one split was approved. Zoning Board of Appeals: one variance was granted. Senior report: exercise is every Monday at 11 a.m. and cards is every Tuesday at noon; next potluck is 6/23. Park report: Country Garage Sale will be 6/11-13 and Tie-dye party will be 7/23 (5-7 p.m.; bring a prewashed cotton item to tie-dye). Discussed: approved: rubber mat coating on the pickleball court, 3 culverts needing replacement, installation of one older playset item onto the playground and sharing of safety revenue monies from the State. Mention that there is an annual audit on 7/20 and an election on 8/4. Audience: road issues mentioned and discussed. Motion to adjourn 8:15 p.m. A complete copy of the unapproved current minutes is available at the township hall during business hours and on the township website within a couple days of the meeting.
