Sommer, Edwards in All-Star game

IMLAY CITY — Imlay City’s Isaac Sommer and Lavon Edwards tested their court skills for the away squad against the home team in a 46-36 setback at the Blue Water Senior All-Star Boys’ Basketball Game last Thursday.

Imlay City High School is where the action unfolded.

 In Thursday’s clash, the away squad grabbed a 21-19 edge at the halftime break.

The home team then outscored them 27-15 the rest of the way, earning a 46-36 win at night’s end.

Sommer paced the  Imlay City duo that evening, finishing with three points. Edwards added a one-point performance.

Bradyn Hinton  (Port Huron High), Ashton Cook (Port Huron High), Cam Harju (Port Huron Northern), Luke Thomas (Marlette), Cullen Knuth (Cardinal Mooney), Tom West (Peck) and Brayden Bullard (Yale) joined the Imlay City players on the away squad. 

Braylon Frantz (St. Clair), Jack Kerrigan (Cros-Lex), Alex Jamison (Port Huron Northern), Cole Cooper (Marysville), Alex Levitt (Cros-Lex), Evan Trudeau (St. Clair), Colin Corliss (Kingston), Nick Cummings (Kingston) and Isaiah Rosser (Carsonville-Port Sanilac) represented the home team that evening.
