Capac is defeated by Royal Oak Shrine in regionals

CAPAC — The Capac baseball team concluded their season with a 9-0 loss to Royal Oak Shrine in a Division 4 regional semifinal contest last Wednesday.

Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes is where the game was held.

With the result, Royal Oak Shrine improves to 24-8 overall. Capac finishes as owners of an 18-11 mark.

In Wednesday’s contest, Capac and Royal Oak Shrine were held scoreless during inning one.

The second inning saw Royal Oak Shrine generate four runs and Capac none.

Neither side would scored during innings three and four.

Innings five and six would see Royal Oak Shrine amass five total runs and Capac was held scoreless, pushing their lead to 9-0.

The final inning was scoreless, enabling Royal Oak Shrine to emerge victorious.

Capac was held hitless in the contest.

Axel Demaray led Capac’s offensive attack with a walk.
