Notice is hereby given there will be a public hearing before the Almont Township Planning Commission on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at the Almont Township Hall, 819 N. Main Street, Almont, Michigan 48003, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The purpose of the hearing is to consider comments relating to a request from Blake’s Big Apple Farm, Inc. for rezoning parcel 44-001-033-001-01 (12.826 acres) from Multiple Family (RM) to General Commercial (C-3) as described:
Part of the NE ¼ section 33, T6n R12E, Almont Township, Lapeer County, Michigan is described as: commending at the NE of corner sect 33, thence S02-14-13E 815.00′ along the E line of sec 33 and the centerline of Van Dyke; then S85-54-53W 528.10′ to the POB; thence S02-14-13E644.48′ to a point on the N row line of Pine Lake Blvd; thence along said row line the following six courses on a curve concave to the S of rad 533.00′ a central angle of 7-11-59, whose chord bears S S80-09-58W 66.93′, an arc length of 66.98′, an arc length of 66.98′; thence S76-33-58W 165.54′; thence along a curve concave to the N or rad 1767.00′, a central angle of 14-24-49, whose chord bears S83-46-23W 443.34, an arch length of 444.51′; thence n89-01-13W 84.72 thence along a curve concave to the S rad 653.00′, a central angle of 04-40-28, whose chord bears S88-38-33W 53.26′, an arch length of 53.28′; thence N02-22-39W, 684.56′ thence N85-54-53E817.69 to the POB and containing 12.826 acres.

Copies of the application and any related documents are available for inspection at the Almont Township Office during regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 2 p.m, and will available at the time and place of the meeting. All interested citizens will be given an opportunity to comment on this application. Written comments may be submitted up to the meeting time at the Township Hall.
