Capac nabs a first place

TRI-CITY AREA — The Capac and Dryden boys’ golf squads took first and fifth, respectively, at a Big Thumb Conference Black Division Jamboree hosted by Holly Meadows last Wednesday.

Capac’s winning total was 174. They were followed by Sandusky (175), Kingston (179), Brown City (185), Dryden (187), Ubly (190), Harbor Beach (194), Marlette (206), Memphis (216) and North Huron (incomplete team).

Sam Schneider led Capac with 40. He was backed by Adam Schaefer (41), Hugh Camire (45) and Luca Longo (48).

Gianni Coscione paced Dryden with a 46. The Cardinals also counted Hayden Blair’s 49, Evan Weier’s 50 and Gavin Prusakiewicz’s 54.
