PUBLIC HEARING
Imlay Township Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday May 19, 2026 at the Township Hall located at 682 N. Fairgrounds Road to adopt a new zoning ordinance and new zoning map. The new zoning ordinance includes multiple changes in policy, but three major changes include consolidation of all business zoning districts into one business district, removal of the RE zoning district (resulting in changes to be either R-1 or AG zoning district), and the northwest corner of the township changing properties north of Weyer Road from R-1 to AG zoning district. This meeting is open to the public. Anyone wishing to comment on this item but is unable to attend the meeting may send their comments to – Imlay Township Planning Commission, 682 North Fairgrounds Road. Written public comments need to be submitted by Monday, May 18, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. A copy of the proposed zoning map, zoning ordinance, and audit report is available at the Imlay Township Hall 4682 N. Fairgrounds Road between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or on the Township website www.imlaytownship.org.
