Almont nets win against Imlay City

TRI-CITY AREA — Almont handed visiting Imlay City a 6-2 setback in a Blue Water Area Conference girls’ tennis meeting last Thursday.

In individual action, Gloria Tosetti claimed a 6-3, 6-4 top flight win against Lyla Russell; Eva Rayl obtained a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Laney Metter at second singles; Norah Bishop registered a 6-1, 6-3 third flight triumph against Alejandroa Munoz; and Liv Moussiaux posted a 7-5, 6-3 win over McKenzie Chaundry at fourth singles.

As far as doubles play was concerned, Lilly Samp and Veronica Luzinski dropped a 6-4, 4-6, 3-6 top flight verdict to Jordyn Chandler and Danica Sisk; Peyton McCall and Isabelle Gooch secured a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Mckinley Couzens and Sara Belleville; Vanessa Steinhaus and Piper Steinhaus supplied a 6-3, 1-6, 6-1 third fight triumph against Kendall Jones and Mia-Ann Grapentin; plus Grace Hettinger and Alivia Hannaford fell 2-6, 2-6 to Meghan Delong and Elliana D’Ambrosio at fourth doubles.
