It takes all of us to be successful

I’ve given it a couple weeks, but wanted to venture out of my corner office to let you know, the Tri-City Times is alive and well.

Honestly, it’s taken me a bit to let the sale of the TCT soak in.

I’ve been fortunate and blessed to be a part of the TCT team for the past five years and now in my sixth, which seems really strange in a way. Time flies.

Having been allowed to work with the TCT team has been nothing but a privilege for me.

The previous ownership team was well established in the newspaper community and in our community in general, not just in newspapering.

There are new team players now. New ownership and while the transition and “getting to know you” stage is on-going for those of us who remain in the office, there is no reason our valued readers can’t expect to continue to receive a quality product.

We want to cover our communities as best we can, with the staff we have and certainly, we couldn’t do it without your help.

The folks who send in photos, stories, write columns or give us leads on a story you feel should be covered.

We’re thankful for the phone calls giving us credible tips with the promise to check out the details, or investigate a situation and then share it with you, our faithful readers.

We fully intend to continue to cover city, village and township meetings, school board meetings and whatever else might come along that is newsworthy.

Obviously, none of this works without the advertising support of so many of you throughout the years.

We are thankful to those who have supported the success of this paper through your commitment to promoting your product or brand, maybe a special event or an accolade.

We hope you continue that support and stand ready to assist you with whatever your advertising needs may be.

I truly believe, there is still merit in newspaper advertising, along with social media avenues.

I’m happy to be a part of a small, but dedicated staff of co-workers who put in a lot of time behind the scenes, to make sure the TCT is the best we can do each week.

Natalie, Ryan, Kevin and I invest our time and talents to produce a quality product every week. We are hoping our staff expands by a few more, in due time, to allow us to do an even better job.

Now that I am kind of settled in to a new office and things are starting to get back to whatever I think “normal” is, I hope to have more time to share some happenings here in the office.
