Almont impresses in its opener
ALMONT — The Almont girls’ soccer team kicked off their 2026 campaign with an 8-0 triumph against host New Haven in a non-league matchup on Monday, March 23.
Lola Battaglia (set up by Callie McCarthy), Battaglia (assisted by McCarthy), Battaglia (unassisted), McCarthy (set up by Battaglia), Battaglia (assisted by Noelle Bourdeau), Battaglia (set up by Carlie Johnson), Battaglia (assisted by Melanie Garcia) and Bourdeau (assisted by Battaglia) accounted for Almont’s goals.
New Haven did not record a shot on goal.
