Lestage excels at SVSU Indoor Invite

IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City boys’ track team notched six top-30 finishes among Division 1/2 schools last Wednesday at the SVSU Indoor Invitational.

No team scores were kept at the meet.

Brett Lestage headlined for Imlay City that day. Lestage posted a 200-meter dash time of 22.9 seconds en route to a sixth and registered a clocking of 7.17 seconds on the way to an eighth among 60 dash entries.

Ethan Everhart supplied the next best Imlay City showing. Everhart logged a 60-meter hurdle time of 9.57 seconds, good for 17th.

Jovani Pena, long jump, 17 feet 10 inches; and Everhart, 200 dash, 23.77 seconds; gave Imlay City 22nds.

An Imlay City 2400-meter relay team of Liam Bhatti, Will Cilk, Challas Eads and Brady Homer wound up 26th. They needed 6:50.43 to accomplish the feat.

Grant Capling, long jump, 17 feet 3 inches collected a 31st for Imlay City.

Challas Eads, 60 hurdles, 11.78 seconds, supplied Imlay City with a 42nd.

Juan Salcedo, 200-meter dash, 24.65 seconds; managed a 43rd for Imlay City.

Ethan Ayers, shot put, 36 feet 4 inches; and Liam Bhatti, 800 run, 2:18.32 secured Imlay City’s 48ths.

Alex Pettke, shot put, 35 feet 9 inches; provided Imlay City with a 49th.

Bhatti, 1600-meter run, 5:12.83 contributed a 55th to Imlay City’s cause.

William Figuera, shot put, 32 feet 3 inches; generated a 62nd for Imlay City.

Eads, 800 run, 2:33.41; gave Imlay City a 63rd.

Homer provided Imlay City with a 64th, thanks to a 400-meter dash clocking of 1:00.33.

Salcedo, 60 dash, 7.77 seconds, pulled up 69th for Imlay City.

Daniel Henning, 1600-meter run, 5:45.02; added a 73rd to Imlay City’s cause.
